The Green Business Program is led by Ecosystem Impact. It is housed at Mahi-Mahi Surf Resort, on Simeulue Island. The goal of the program is to originate, incubate, and develop green business in the Aceh region. Through aiding and financing start-up Green businesses in Indonesia, EI seeks to positively transform the way business has previously been done in Indonesia, which was often at the expense of the environment and local communities.
The program also focuses on developing future generations of global Green entrepreneurs through internships, collaboration, and mentorship, sharing its resources and knowledge at Mahi-Mahi Surf Resort on Simeulue Island.
Mahi-Mahi Surf Resort and Kado are two Simeulue based companies that participated in the Green Business Program, both having received guidance and aid during their foundation building stages because of their integral commitment to sustainable business practices in the region.
